“I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart. I am, I am, I am.” Sylvia Plath, the Bell Jar
Hi, I’m Bronte and I bring stories and places to life through creative visual storytelling.
My whimsical, nostalgic style of photography is mixed with a love of books, adventures, fashion and entertainment to form a unique, eclectic style. My accompanying writing is character- driven and I like to touch on subjects often not discussed in the mainstream media, all mixed with a dose of creativity, sarcasm, and wittiness.
One of my followers recently described my work as, “Like a future-set fairytale and a Victoria-era TV series had a very witty love child”, which made me laugh, but it is also very true. Another also described me as Wes Anderson meets Villanelle (Killing Eve) which I’m all for.
I try to live my life as kindly as possible, so I’m cruelty-free, try to shop as ethically as I can and champion feminism, sustainability and inclusivity.
My goal in life is to encourage others to embrace their differences, own their creativity and feel able to express themselves fully.
I grew my Instagram account while gaining a 2:1 in a Publishing & Creative Writing degree at Bath Spa University. Creative Photography got me over a lot of life’s pitfalls, including a few break-ups. I hope that I can help other young girls see how being creative, quiet, caring, and different from the pack is in fact amazing.
Since leaving university in 2018 I’ve been working as a content creator, blogger, speaker and photographer. I am also an Ambassador for The Cup Effect and want to empower those who menstruate to be comfortable talking about their periods, whilst at the same time educating myself and others about period poverty and helping tackle it.
in 2019 I won Blogosphere Book Influencer of the Year, which I’m still recovering from.
