What I Love About Working from Home

The most annoying thing my co-workers do is try and sit on my lap

I’m very proud of the fact that I make money as an online creator and I also realise that I’m incredibly lucky. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s hard work I love. Working for yourself has a whole lot of benefits, including being able to work from home. Here are the things I love most about working from home:

1. I get to decide how I work

If a routine is no longer working for me, then I can change it. If I want to change my working hours, then I can. Heck, I could stay in bed all morning and only work in the afternoon and well past midnight. I don’t, but the option is there. I don’t have someone telling me how I should be working. I’m going through changing my working routine at the moment, and I think myself so lucky that I’m able to do so.

2. I can stay in my PJs all day.

If I’m feeling particularly groggy or lazy one day, I can simply roll out of bed and not bother getting dressed! Yes, I’m less likely to be productive, but it’s great for days when I’m not feeling very well. I could even do work in bed if I really wanted to!

3. Cat cuddles. All day.

I don’t know what my day looks like without having a cat by my side sleeping. I don’t know whether office cats are actually a thing, but they certainly are in my house!

4. It’s my introverted self’s idea of heaven.

The most annoying thing my co-workers do is try and sit on my lap when I’m trying to write (I’m talking about a cat, by the way.) I don’t have to deal with annoying small talk or office drama. I can just get on and do what I do.

5. I get to do what I love

I’m so, so lucky and so, so appreciative to be able to do what I love every day and to be my own boss. No matter what, I wouldn’t change it for the entire word. I’m doing something that people dream of and I will never, ever take that for granted.
