Book Review– The Disappearances
The Disappearances - Emily Bain Murphy
From the very beginning I fell in love with the main character, she was just feisty enough to not be annoying and romantic enough to not make your cringe. I found following her and her journey a real pleasure.
The story is really interesting and I was instantly captivated and wanted to know what was happening and why. It took me a while to figure out what was happening with the alternating chapters and it took me a while to settle in. Once I did, I sped through this book.
It slowed down about three quarters of the way through and all the Shakespearian references were hard for me to plough through sometimes. I was a little lost as to what was really happening. However, it all tied up with a nice bow at the end and left me with all the feelings that I wanted from a book like this.
a 4.5/5 for me.
